As the Librarian Training & Development Specialist for Metro Nashville Public Schools, I plan professional development and support librarians throughout our district. I began my career as a special education teacher and technology teacher in MNPS, teaching students with severe behavior disabilities for 12 years. Then I went back to school and earned a Master’s in Library Science in 2005 and enjoyed life as an elementary school librarian for 11 years before moving into my position as a training and development position several years ago. Currently, I am learning alongside and from some amazing colleagues at Lamar University in the Digital Learning and Leading Program.
